Hospital Stay to Camping Out

Update: morning started early with vitals checked every four hours, bloodwork ( interesting side note: you are given an IV port in the emergency room, but that port is not used to retrieve blood for any of the various tests once you are admitted. Instead someone comes and draws blood through a new prick hole each time. ).  I started taking a new pill, Imdur, that helps keep the arteries open. It gave me a terrible headache so I won’t be taking that again!  Went for a CT angio of the chest. Then I waited     It is now 3:00 and they are going to discharge me!!  Yippie.

That was about three weeks ago. Since then life has made a 360. We bought a house!! A touchspot really because we still plan to travel. We bought a new to us PleasureWay!!

We are scrubbing and painting the house. It is the best way to get to know your new space. And it makes it your own. I take it slow and sit more than I remember doing in days gone by, but we are just making it a fun project.

The bedroom was first. We scrubbed down walls, cupboard shelves and ran the vacuumed several times. Then we moved in. There was a double bed, dresser, table and desk type chair. We changed the table for the two file cupboards and desk top from the entryway, added the computer cart and set up a little office space on one side of the room. The dresser and closet are filled. It feels like a homey space.

The kitchen was next  and is all scrubbed down thanks to Maria and Barb for all their help. Everything is in its place; as we look for things we have changed the location of a few to make them easier to find. We filled the fridge and have made a few meals. Kathy made a meat pie in the oven.

Will has been tackling the dining and living rooms paint both a soft sage green; thank you to Maria for the paint. Kathy has helped with transforming the ceiling from beige to white. It certainly brightens the look of the house.

The small bathroom got a complete scrub down. Thank you to Victor for his electrical expertise, we have a new led- light fixture in that room that works.

While he was there, Victor also fixed the outside outside and porch outlets, and repaired the three way power problem with the living room fan and bedroom outlet. Such electrifying talent!! Thank you Victor.

It is presently break time; and shakedown of the PleasureWay. When we bought it from Campers Inn we received a year’s free camping with Travelers World.  For the next three days we are camping at Three Flags Resort.

Packing was interesting. We are so use to having everything we own along with us, we are true home bodies, so this little trip is an adventure!  We are making a list of things we need, but have not packed along; it is becoming a long list and we have only need here a few hours!!

I’m feeling much better, relaxed and comfortable. I carry nitro tablets with me and have taken them a few times over the weeks if I get chest pains and shortness of breath. I take a nightly nitro that keeps the vessels open and the blood flowing. I also take a pill for cholesterol which is way down. Visited my new PCP, Dr Agbo, and fount my cholesterol to be only 98. So all is good in the blood flow department.
