Horseshoe Curve, Indian Cave, Juaniata River

June 1, 2007 And another adventure begins for Van Go. Today is a good day to drive! We departed Jayne’s after hugs and waves and stopped at If It’s, our auto repair garage. They were replacing a frayed belt and putting on the inspection sticker. The rotor arm that goes along with the belt needed replaced also. The discussion was about how that could have been our problem with the electrical system freezing up each time it rained. On the road again, traveling down the highway. We drove the gray line roads through small towns, past farms and suburban plans. Lots of construction going on in central PA changing from two laners to four laners. Horseshoe Curve is world famous, a curve where engineers can see their back cars. We stopped and picnicked watching the trains. Along the banks of Spruce Creek near Franklinville is a cavern we stopped to explore, Indian Cavern. Back in 1928 the owner unearthed the body of a Mohawk Indian and a Petroglyphs tablet.
