Still in Pictou

We took a ride on the lobster boat we like. The Hector looks good from the stern. This is the v-birth of the lobster boat; needs some work. The back end has lots of room to walk around; we are talking about adding a room. This is in the cockpit; the sitting area. Sure like looking at that ship! Taken from the captain's quarters. Art shot for you. The cormorants were out feeding on herring. Will and Spyder have the same make of guitar; they enjoyed playing together and now Will knows a new song! Thanks for a great afternoon, Spyder. That is our lobster boat! We saw Trevor and Willow in town! These two puppies don't do steps; they have to be carried. Will got some office work done and Kathy and Darlene made veggie soup. These are the blackberries we picked the other day; oh are they sweet!

Looking at a boat

This is the Kimberly's Babe; it is a Cape Island Style fishing boat. The engine is a John Deere; it is raised above the deck line. The cockpit area with lots of electronic stuff; Cliffie you will have to tell us what they are. View over the bow. The back has lots of space for a room to be added. The v-birth; not as fancy as yours Ria. The sitting area inside the cockpit area. So what do you think?

More Ship Hector Days

It was the last Pirate Day at the Quay for the season.  The kids love making their own pirate ship and Pirate John is always around to give them pointers. Ralph, the donation pirate tried to eat Will's arm, but he managed to get away. It is Ashley's last day so it was good bye time.... Darlene, Ashley, Brian, Kathy, Jordan, Joyce and Brandan. Ashley wanted to get some sound effects for her video of the windless turning so Brandon and Will got on the windless and tried to coordinate turning so that center black bar would do it's click click thing.  It was more laughs and talking so Kathy gave a try; that was hard work! With lots of emotions there was one final goodbye with Ashley. Today is also Christine's last day as Pictou Ambassador. Ashley, Keith, Christine, Kathy and Brandan. Christine enjoyed her smoothie lunch while Brandan looked on wondering how someone could drink on of those! We went for drinking coffee with Keith at the Stone Kitchen and talked and talked of

Al stopped over and brought us some homegrown veggies; that is one thing we miss not having property.  Thanks Al, we are gonna enjoy these! On our stop to the visit Ship Hector today we saw Richard caulking; that is putting cotton and oakum between the planks. There is always a photo opportunity too; see our boat int he background? John stopped at the Quay.  Kathy loves photo opportunities.   Dave stopped by and gave us the finished painting; see Will and I sitting in the corner.  We took a time machine back to 1773 to see the arrival of the ship in Pictou Harbor! Dave joined us for dinner; we had a lobster roll, it was filled with lobster and the plate was filled with fries.  Dave had the sweet potato fries; they were good too. Desert time! The blueberry grunt is the best! John stopped and played us a little tune on Will's guitar. We stopped up at the MacIntosh's and Dave was in the kitchen. Katie and Zoey enjoyed their dinner sitting around the computer. While we enjoyed ours
