Silver Dollar City

Today we used our passes to get in to SDC once again after Kathy's visit to the dentist.  She had a hollow spot on that front tooth filled, but gave her a numbed up lip that lasted a few hours. There was a shoot out on the main street! We had a very busy day delivering mail, dropping off items at Goodwill, stopping at Allen's RV to have the freezer door looked at so decided to head on over to Silver Dollar City and relax with some homemade icecream.  They make it fresh every day!! We caught a few songs by the Chapmans Waved at the passengers on the train and tried to warn them about a train robbery that was sure to happen. This little guy was enjoying an afternoon snack. Love it!! As the park closes people flock to Echo Hollow, the largest amphitheater in Missouri. And it is big and steep. The County Nights show was worth the climb!! Comedy broke up the show putting everyone in that

Free tour and tasting!! Karen gave a wonderful tour telling us about the city of Hermon, MO where Stone Hill began. Some of the wine is put into oak barrels to age This is the sparkling wine that is the only wine bottle here in Branson. Bob told us all about how it is done. Karen took us to the tasting room where we sampled about a dozen different wines: Reserve Chardonel, Hermannberger, Norton, Cross J Vineyard Norton, Traminette, Steinberg White, Steinberg Red, Vigoles, Rose Montaige, Golden Spumante, Jacquesse Kick'n Berry, Pink Catawba, Concord, Cream Sherry, and our favorite Vidal Blac.  Karen told us about dry and sweet, oak and metal barrels, smooth and rich, light and flowery. Loved the glass topsa and the grapevine glasses. We picked up a bottle of Golden Spumante,  actually corked by Bob!
