Seeing Shreveport by Segway
April 16, 2007 After our morning constitutional around the Boardwalk including the parking lot steps, we watched the trolley come out for a run. Jen, we thought of when you took us on the San Francisco trolley! Then we sat out near the river reading and Kakuro puzzling. Sueann, a geko came along to say hello to us! We discussed riding those Segway thingies and called Adam. He met us at the park around three in the afternoon. He brought three of the older model Segways with him. Adam gave us the particulars: 1). There are three keys of different colors that represent the top speed the Segway will go when that key is used. Kathy started with black, the lowest speed, Will started with yellow, the middle speed, and Adam used the red for fastest. 2). When the happy face appears on the handlebar controls the machine is ready. To make the face happy you press the blue button once, level the stand and press it again. 3).
