We couldn't drive through Stonewall and not stop at the park where we had volunteered. We caught up with Iris, Rita and Steven and caught up a bit. Sure love that living history farm from 1915.

Luckenbach Texas Office

Image
We stopped in the office at Luckenbach and dropped off a picture. We had made one last year and given to someone to post in the bar, but it made it into someone's house instead. So , this one gave to the office; hope to see it hanging in the bar next trip through. It is a collage of pickers and characters of Luckenbach during our first months in 2006. There are two such pictures and two on tee shirts (Kathy has the first and Levi Darr has the second.)

Luckenbach, Texas- The Annual Mud Dauber Ball

Image
BUZZ... BUZZ.. it's Mud Dauber Festival and Ball time once again in Luckenbach! We spent the morning listening to music in the bar and spent the evening dancing to  Cowboy Doug Davis & The Note Ropers in the Luckenbach Dance Hall! We have know Rick Boss for a while as he has worked here at Luckenbach. He is a harmonica player and can make that thing sing! Recently he has been asked to play for several CD recordings and is now with the Mark Searcy Band. They have their first, "Wild Night In Texas" and one on the way....CD that is. ( A joke borrowed from the Redhead Express shows.) Two of Rick's originals are on the CD! Check them our at www.marksearcy.com

Their daughter is getting married in 69 hours. Silver likes clapping. Walt introduced us to Angie and her hubby; they just went full time this year.
