We are heading west on route 83 enjoying the views and the sound of our wheels rolling along the pavement.  In the sky we see small blimps that hold cameras to check the border.  We arrived in Roma where we stopped to stretch our legs and check out the National Birding Center.

The only birds we saw were LLBs, little brown birds, mostly sparrows, and inca doves.
Inside the center are exhibits about the area.  Including this one about the bricks made in the area; see the ones for PA and PPG.

There are many many buildings that are old and run down; a few they are restoring

The cacti are blooming; some strange bugs are pollinating and getting nectar

What a grand view you have across into Mexico.

You can see the bridge is lined up for coming into the country. But going into Mexico is open except for a few people walking across.

A few more views of the older buildings.  The old movie theater is now a church.

The benches are everywhere around the square; they reminded us of the benches in Gomez Farieas in Mexico.
Loved the doors

Bet this building was amazing in its day!
