290 Stops Four

Once the Vineyard was planted in 2009, the Hilmy’s began constructing the winery.
Great Pyrenese who during the evening patrols the vineyards keeping the deer away from the vines.

She is one happy dog who certainly liked attention.

It has a nice entrance with a really wide door.

In swings!

There is a nice outside picnic area.

Inside is very warm and cozy.

Out back on those hot afternoons there is a comfortable place to relax.

The areas are all open, kind of plain in a cool way.

On to Fat
Fat Ass Ranch and Winery was certainly unique.

Yes, they have their own ass outside for you to greet.

Some fun places to sit around.

Like the old unique still; wonder what they got out of this one back in the day.

More neat places to sit and sip.

Liked the restroom doors.

Neat pictures of family on the walls.

And some interesting art work too.

Texas winning wines give the owners saddles and it seems- belt buckles.

The wine displays were fun looking.

And the store area had all kinds of stuff.

We have not told you about the wine clubs but it seems each winery has a club you can join to get reduced prices and shipments of their wines each month.  This club is free; I guess the others are not.

Interesting stuff everywhere to start conversations.

And yes wine tasting too. The wines here are unique...watermellon, peach, sweet, sour...

They have their own glassware.

More interesting seating areas

This was a fun loud place, not the typical refined wine place.

The next stop, Signor Vineyards, brought us down a long driveway. When you park and get out of the vehicle, that is where the surprise hits you.

It is quaint and beautifully landscaped.

The walkway leads you in.

You can see a pond in the distance through the trees; a great place for a picnic.  And yes they have baskets and blankets just for that.

The tasting room

Nice way to block off the steps you are not to use.

The vineyard out front.

The 1800s house was to be a restaurant, but the lady backed out so now it is going to be a shop and little sitting area.  Love that long narrow table in the kitchen area.

You can see the kitchen area; it is all being remodeled, but the lady brought us through; really cool.

A private room; maybe for parties.

Okay back at the main 1900s house which was a very fancy home not long ago.

A new tasting area they are building.

The inside of the house will be used as a club area for members to come in and relax with their wine.

I took this because I like that ladder on the all.

Nice walkway filled with a fragrant vine.

Beautiful walkways and sitting areas spread around.

The courtyard.

The driveway needs some help, but they will get to that.
A fun stop at Texas Wine Country Jelly Stone Park

We followed the horse prints....

A fun store

Great porch to relax

Great group areas to sit and visit

Game rooms for cards, pool and such.

Another area with tables for games.

If you didn't bring your rig, you can rent a cabin.

Nice rocks

Fun walkways leading here and there.

Outdoor stage

Pizza for sale right here; don't have to leave the park.

Horsehoes anyone?

Playground for the kids; yes it is a kid friendly place.

It had rained, but you can see where they are adding more spaces.

Nice campground; kinda close quarters for us, but typical fo campground.  We didn't see showers or restrooms, but each site has hookups.

The name 4.0 Cellars is inspired by the three separate wineries that came together to form a matchless fourth winery.
They also say they strive for a 4.0 in perfection.

Neat fountain; there were several faucets around with dripping water.

The entrance-tasting to the left, seating to the right.

Nice modern building with lots of glass.

Comfortable sitting area outside.

More award winning belt buckles.

Tasting room

wines

more wines

I like the any other reason.

There were also olive oil and jelly tasting.

A store area

where you could get cheese

that you could sample first.

Another outside sitting area where on the weekends there is music.

Rental cottages in the back with a gate between so you could just walk back at the end of the evening.

Beautiful tree.

Love these.

An old time wine press.

The Messina Hot Hill Country Winery serves over 50 Texas wines.

This little one came out to greet us.

Nice entrance

A store area

Award winning belt buckles.

And wine

White, Not sure and Red

Interesting tables

Nice sitting area outside

They brew wines here.

More wine displays

Another area to relax on a warm summers day and sip wines.

Or you could sit inside.

Nice Veteran certificate.

Not that would be fun.

We took a drive down a country road filled with wildflowers and came across another winery.

They are not open yet; they are in the process of changing names; it will be the Longhorn Cellars

We are certainly having fun exploring.
