Kerrville to Lorado

Mariachi players on the roof.Fire trucks ready for anything; we didn't see smoke or flame.Today is a good day to drive! Tree lined street; the live oaks must be sick; they all seem to be dieting. Just to let you know where we are.Water is running pretty good.Black vultures enjoying a little roadkill deer.Bandera is a great town to explore. It is the Cowboy Capital of the World.Tall boots anyone?!We stopped by the Media River to feed the ducks. They liked all the cookie crumbs. The water was so greenthat it looked like glacier water.Great roads! We stopped at the overlook here at the Edwards Plateau. Now down we go.This would make a great….something; it was the old feed store. We found a school bus sale yard.It is always good to see them keeping the roads in good condition.TRAIN!We made it to Larado; this is the bridge above leading to Mexico. We are now turning east on route 83 and traffic to Mexico is thick.Check out the rates.Every building, even homes have bars over all entrances down here.Rails above and road below. Traffic on 83 has thinned out.
