In The Harbor
We headed out tonight to the edge of the causeway instead of out towards the mouth of the harbor. The view of Pictou from the water is just amazing. It could be the jewel of Nova Scotia!Darlene and Dave were joining us for a little evening ride. You can see the ship Hector at the Quay just right of the buoy. The sun was peeking in and out of the clouds. The mill was chugging away.Cormorants were flying. And we were sitting adrift enjoying the view, the breeze and the company of good friends. The gulls would come and join us too.So we decided to see if they would like some taco shells. They liked them!Dave put the line in the water for just a minute and came up with fish! Yes the mackerel are still down there. We tossed them to the gulls. As we approached the dock there was a sailboat in our sport; they had taken the opportunity to pull in and fill up on water for their up coming trip so we sat and waiting for them to head back over to their mooring sport and we pulled in to dock. Bill's boat was out, but Mike had pulled in for the night so everyone stood around visiting. Thank you David for helping with the lines. We are set for the night at our home dock, pier B in Pictou.
