Luckenbach Oct 29, 2014

We met Shan and Annie for drinks at Cultures on Main Street in Fredericksburg.  It was so nice to have time to sit and catch up over the last years.  They have been playing in Europe and have a trip planned for the UK and Ireland doing house concerts.  If you have not heard them sing check them out at www.shannieband.com.  We call their music "Poltry"; Pop, folk and country all rolled into their own unique sound.  We fell in love with them at a time they had just met and fell in love.  They have been singing together ever since that chance meeting in Luckenbach about 10 years ago.

We then drove down Luckenbach Road and stopped in town to see who was playing.

SolPatch, Melissa Weatherly and Bryan Maldonado, were hosting.

We met Pat, sitting to the far right.

The baby chick was being called by its mother hen already up in the tree.

The chick gave a squack and jumped flapping and made it to the branch.

And walked up the tree!  Chickens roost in the trees at night.

Rusty likes to come listen to music and nap; this is his table.

That night the rains came.
