Storm Runners

We were sitting at Ed's watching the news and the bad storms of the midwest were headed this way.  Storms with high winds and tornados and hail. So we ran; well, really we rolled away.

Today is a good day to drive!

We past some interesting sites.

Crossing through states was easy.
Brunch break!
Look a drawbridge!!

Oh my!

This ship reminded us of the Ship Hector in Nova Scotia; maybe we will get up there this summer.

The rains were bringing out more alligators, but if you really wanted to see one this would be the spot.

Love to see roads weave all around the country.

This building seems to have fallen over!

Smoke ahead....

FIRE; get over!

Wow, that cement truck's back end was flaming!
There were emergency guys doing the best they could waiting on the fire turcks.
So far we are keeping out of the storm.

Sweet grass baskets for sale along the road.

Wow, neat bridge.

Heading for Savannah.

This looks like a good place to stop; the Visitor Center rest area on I95.  We spent the night and ...one more night.
But the storms are heading our way.  It is worse south than north so back north we go!

Today is a good day to drive!

Wow! Those azalea are so pretty!  We made it to the rest area on I77.  Might just spend the night here.
