Air Fiesta Brownsville, TX

Tickets....

You enter through the hanger...

Past a few vendors...

And out to the tarmac.

Airplanes!! AIRPLANES!!   (If you want lots of information on planes and flyers you can go to airfiesta.org. )This is the Extra 300/SK flown by Mike "Spanky" Galloway.

Bi-planes old a special place because our friend Pat has one and has taken Kathy for a flight doing barrel rolls and spins.  We also both rode one in Key West with our little dog JMe; that is another story.

There were some great planes and the announcers were excellent at telling all about them and their pilots as well as the history of the aircraft.

The RV Monoplane flown by  Joe "Rifle" Shetterly.

The patterns look great in the sky. We were lucky to have a slightly overcast day so we didn't have to look in the sun.

Zoom zoom...

A Stearman bi-plane like Pat's!

Watch out for the balloon!

We enjoyed a giant turkey leg; oh so good!

This one looks like the DC 3 Pat and Barbara were married in!!

Loved this little guy waving at the pilot.

Now, that is a smoke ring!

Boom boom...

There was a little history lesson as the planes flew.

Art shot!

Demon-1 flown by Kyle Franklin.

Upside down....

Low to the ground...

FIRE!!!!

There is that balloon again.

Boom.

Twin Beech 18 with pilot Matt Younkin on the stick.

Aeroshell Aerobatic Team flying AT-6 Texan

What a dance they did in the sky!!

The day's air fiesta ended with the a tribute to those who have lost their lives for our freedom.  Awesome show.  Another show tomorrow if you missed it today.
