RedHead Express at AmeriCana RV

We arrived at the venue; Will is having some stomach issues and is sleeping.  Kathy went over to help set up for the show.  The Walkers have been staying in their tents that last two weeks while touring the south Texas Valley.  Cocoa is along too.

The central room is small and intimate; they filled the evening show and opened a matinee show.  Sound check went quickly and guest started to arrive so they could pick their seats.

Santa Mike was in the house!

And today is his wife's birthday so the girls sang her a bluegrass version of Happy Birthday.

Show time!

The front row was just about on the staging area!  The family is use to working in tight conditions after living in their motor home for four years.

Sean can take care of the sound anywhere with his IPhone!  Amazing technology today.

Ammon take a few moments while the girls are singing to read a few more pages in his book; he loves to read!

Kendra invites the Walker Boys to the stage. People have come to their shows over the last five years of tours here in the valley and have watched the boys grow and get better and better on their instrument playing too.

Dueling banjos is a popular one!

Sean plays the box drum as their girls drum out on their instruments.  Alisa does a very empowering fiddle through out the song, Rainstorm.

LaRae is excited for baby to come along.  She says he moves around to the music and when she plays banjo he stops moving.  Meghan thinks he is holding his ears!

Joseph squeezes in a little time to add to his book; this is his fifth.

LaRae....

Alisa....

Meghan....

The girls invite up two people. "Without them we wouldn't be here."

LaRae has learned to play side-saddle on that banjo!

Time for Dad to toss out the chocolates!

Meghan sometimes plays Eddy, her bass that is 75 years old and has a facebook page, with a bow.

She also plays the cup; she named the cup Ted. Ted is red and has no head.  The bong sound as it hits the stool keeps the beat to the song.

And here she is with fast moving hands!  Maybe she is a super hero in disguise.

Kendra....

Love this shot with the movement of her beautiful red hair as she strums her guitar and sings a song she has written.

Sean, the sound man, banjo player, drummer and tech guy too.

Ammon plays bass and sings lead on several songs.

Joseph sings lead, plays fiddle and mandolin and is an author too.

Dueling banjos....

Up close.

Kathy got the girls and Mom together for a quick shot after the show.

Kendra gave her sweetie a call.  I'm sure LaRae is on the phone somewhere too. Will slept through both shows; he really must not be feeling well to miss listening to the girls sing.  Apryll arranged for us to just stay put for the night; thank you Apryll, Kathy has not driven the Roadtrek in a long time!

The next morning Kathy found Ammon playing some pool,

LaRae was doing some computer work, and

Meghan was also on the computer deep in thought.

Ammon thought it was getting warm enough that he might take a little swim.
He tried the hottub first; Sean just floated in the air!!
Before the morning was finished all three boys were int he water enjoying diving into the water.  Looks like Sean is standing on the water in the first shot!  Ammon is just taking a seat!  Before we knew it we had to pack up and drive to the next venue.  Will was feeling better, but not great yet.  Off we all go....
