Victoria, BC walk

The Old Spaghetti Factory has taken over the Glass domed building.

We entered the Empress Hotel (It is now owned by Faimont) from the back side and walked around....This is the Bengel Lounge famed for its daily curry bar.

They are known for their High Tea, served every afternoon.

We met Darlene Young, the resident artist.  It was interesting that she painted upside down at some point in her work.  "It gives a new perspective to the work" she said.  She has been an artist since she could hold a crayon.  Since 2010 she strives to do a painting a day!

This is the only broadleaf evergreen tree in Canada, the Arbutus.  We know it as the Madrone.

There are city buses, tourist buses, even bicycle carts and horse drawn carriages to get you around the city.

The eateries are everywhere and range from the elegant and ridiculously expensive to quaint out of the way and quick-bite spots.  Kathy thought this big bear needed a drink!

This bank building is today a pub and eatery.

So there is always somewhere to get something to drink or eat on your walk exploring the city.  On our way back to the ship we found Fisherman's Wharf where there was a very long line at Barb's Fish & Chips getting fresh fish; have to remember that for next trip.
