Around Lake Fenton or Storm Coming

We dropped of Mary's sister and husband as the sky grew dark and the breeze picked up. Will checked the radar and Mary got a call from here sister: " It is thundering; drive faster."  We did!

We made it back to Mary's and got the pontoon covered before the big storm hit.

As the storm rolled in so did Denise, one of Mary's daughters.

We were at the neighbors, Tina and Mark, enjoying the shelter and good conversation.  Between Mark and Tina is their son, Tyler.  Mark was telling a story about his son getting ready for wresting this fall.  Will asked what weight class, unlimited?  Mark said no, 186 pounds.  Now you can imagine our reaction as we were thinking he was talking about Tyler, when Mark says, 'no not this son; the other one"

Mary made the girls a special drink with orange mango juice. We decided a picture was needed and that is when all the rearranging took place.  But we figured it out!

It was a good evening of conversations.

Now to go back a bit in time.  Mary decided to take us out on a tour of the lake.  We had seen an aerial picture of the lake.  There are three areas each about the same size and a small island.  They are all surrounded with homes.

Will took care of the ropes and we cast off into the lake.

Captain Mary at the helm.

We went nice and slow around the edge of the lake commenting on all the houses and hearing stories of the people and changes over the years.

There are small cottages.

Summer homes.

Swans that come every year.

Party houses.

On the other side of the lake we picked up Mary's sister, Carol and her husband Dwight.

Look, a double decker pontoon party boat!

There are some mansions where people bought up two or three houses and tore them down to build.  This one was built by someone and it has been empty for years.

There are houses with decks.

And everyone has a boat of one sort or another.

The sailing club.

There are colorful homes and great landscaping.

And back channels to explore.

Will looked over the side and spotted some good size fish.

We headed back one channel filled with water lilly.

Love the reflections on the calm water.

Denise came out to greet us with her grandson, Carson on the back of the kayak!

The held on and traveled with us a distance.

We dropped them off near home.

Connor came out, jumped in the water and swam out to the kayak and got aboard!

We passed Mary's house; good view from the water.

And dropped off Carol and Dwight.
