Soul Picnic at Carmine and Robert's

Each year Carmine and Robert spend days preparing the most delectable foods to share with family and friends.  They black-eyed peas get soaked; the ham hocks are cooked in chicken stock before the collard greens are added.  The corn bread is baked; the chicken crisply fried. The potato salad mixed; the macaroni and cheese casserole baked. And then there are the deserts!

This year was a real treat because the newest addition to the family was there, Camron James. He got passed around a lot!

Kathy passed along her lab coat to Michelle. She got it at LaRoche when she took biology; she was so good with a microscope she was asked to work for Heinz.  Dad was against her going to Texas for the training and becoming a teacher was still forefront.  The lab coat was well used when she taught science at Dorseyville Middle School.  Now Melissa will wear it teaching Middle School.

Robert and Carmine, thanks for a wonderful day!
