What's going on

August 20, 2007

Pittsburgh is filled with white skies and rain. The temperatures have dropped a bit too, but shorts are still the clothing of choice. Kathy climbed up a ladder to scrub the roof of the Roadtrek, stretch and reached causing her a sudden pain; she pulled that siadic muscel in her back. After the first afternoon of laying on an ice pack, taking pain pills to get some sleep, stretching and moving to try to get the nerve back into its slot, she finally had to make a doctor visit. The outcome was: go to a physical therapist. Yoga class has been a challenge, but get a little easier each time. The worst is the numbing sensation that goes down her leg.

Will has been having his share of doctor visits also. He started two new meds; developed an itchy rash and still has no comfort for the symptoms he originally went to the doctors for. It seems to be a game of try this try that.

Jayne is healing nicely, doing everything around the house except cooking dinners. If anyone knows of a Breast Cancer group for women over 80 she would benefit from sharing.

The Roadtrek developed a water leak and the back bed area was drenched. We are now trying to clean up the moldy aftermath.

Kathy continues with her craft activities, reading and cooking. Will is keeping up with TV and Fate.

Kathy’s niece, Jessica, and her live-in boyfriend, Rick, stopped over for dinner and help with putting together a budget plan. Jessica is so enthusiastic about her work with children at the summer camp she has been working at. She plans to take two more classes towards a BS degree this fall while continuing to work at Stepping Stones, a before and after school program. Rick is a welder and operator of heavy equipment. The company he works for does something with the leftovers of coal power plants and sends it off to oil rigs to be used for something.

We all chipped in and got tickets for the big 200,000 million PA lottery; no one has won it yet so buy your tickets!
