We got up and enjoyed our breakfast. We have two passes each day for the buffet so each morning two people eat from there and the other two either join us in the restaurant or venture out on their own. There is a coffee shop close by with good muffins and a McDonald's across the street.
The Wiakiki Aquarium was very interesting. They grow coral there for many uses. The tanks were filled with fish; some of our favorites were: dragon fish, unicorn fish and big clams. Now when we say big we mean really big. We held little crabs, watched the seals and admired the colorful little Nemos.
Beach time is so relaxing. Sitting in the sunshine soaking in some vitamin D straight from the sun. Listening to waves and MP3 players. Talking on the phone with family back home and sharing a memory to last us a life time.
We took a bus to HPU campus, walked up and met with Justin. The President's Reception was in the Pioneer Plaza building overlooking the city and the harbor. The view was wonderful. We met Justin's Lit professor who gave a glowing report of a young man who worked hard and was enthusiastic. We helped ourselve to the finger foods and punch. Speeches were given. President Wright congratulated the students present, about 25. The president's photographer came and took our picture saying how nice it was to have not just his mother, but his aunts as well present. As we sat after the speeches, we gave Justin his "binder of well wishes". He looked through it reading a few, laughing at some pictures, commenting on how he couldn't believe Kathy had gotten so many different people to write.
From the reception we walked to another area and hopped on a bus to Spaghetti Factory and met up with some of Justin's friends. Melissa was so sweet; she gave each of us a very fragrant lei. Jamie, Chris, Anastasia, Mike and Tara were all so friendly; Justin has a great circle of friends. We represented Justin with his "binder of well wishes" that was grabbed up and admired by all to Justin's embarrassment. Melissa and Justin when to the movies and Mike drove us back to our hotel.
