White Sands National Monnument Arizona

November 27, 2006
White Sands National Monument is at the northern end of the Chihuahuan Desert in the Tularosa Basin with mountains all around. Two hundred and seventy-five square miles of glistening white sands, the world’s largest gypsum dunes, are preserved with plants and animals that have adapted to their white environment. Ranger Kathy Denton presented Kathy with her Jr. Ranger patch after spending a few hours going over her booklet and talking with us.

Is it snowing where you are?
