We arrived at Sueann's about one o'clock. Everyone showered and prepared for the wedding shower at Sueann's friend's, Susan. Sueann left early and called giving us directions as she drove. We arrived half an hour later. Susan greeted us at the door. She has a beautiful home. Susan is a quilter and lover of tea. The wedding shower today was a tea party of sorts. Everyone introduced themselves and told how they knew Sueann. Everyone is happy for her and glad she has found someone to spend her life with, Don. Sueann opened her presents, Kathy took a photo of each person with Sueann and her present. Susan served a peach punch that was heavenly. Sueann said her thank you and Susan invited everyone to the table for "crumpets" and tea. She had four different teas prepared sitting on the buffet in exquisite tea pots each on a warmer. The table was covered with bite-size goodies from cheese wrapped olives to sweet coconut cake. The guests ate and chatted. Sueann's sister-in-law, Patty and her daughter, Amanda were guests. It had been five years since Kathy had seen them at Forrest's funeral. Amanda, now a young lady, was beautiful. The loss of her brother hit Patty. It was a tender moment when she and Sueann hugged. Sueann kept it all together; we are sure she too goes through overwhelming moments. Forrest's last words to Kathy was to take care! of Sueann and make sure she was happy. He knew she could not live along. He is smiling down on her smiling and happy that she has found Don.

Susan had a tiny ceramic teapot for each guest. We took ours and said our goodbyes. We needed to make a stop back at Sueann's; Maria had left her keys on the counter. Don was a Sueann's and got big hugs and smiles before we headed for Carmine's. Cliff was waiting for us so we transfered from car to pickup and headed over to Maria's where Will picked up Kathy. It had been a wonderful sister bonding weekend. Like Little Women, we are four girls who have grown up in a loving family. Our family just got bigger with the birth of Silas and soon will grow again with Sueann's marriage to Don. The ties of family are the extentions of a mother's apron strings. They wrap around us and stretch in all directions!

Will meanwhile took his mother and drove to Laughlingtown for Finneaus' second birthday party. He and his daughter and two grandchildren walked through the forest to the lake where the kids jumped and played in the water. Finn liked his Superman cape towel; his airplane got decorated by mom and put on the top of the fridge. Grandma Jayne's Thomas Train was damaged in the opening process, but still enjoyed. Kathy was sorry to miss the event.
