We are going to Italy!

Introductions all around. We even did introductions via computer skyp. There were suggestions on places to visit, things to do, rental cars, travel dates and so much information. We discussed places to stay. But the best was having some sister time!!  Maria brought a bottle Martinelli wine! Sueann and Don got pizzas; on see that one in the back.  It has anchovies! Beer then wine is fine.... What a fun afternoon!

Virginia to Pittsburgh

Here we are crossing the New River Gorge.  Walmart in Fairmont became home for the night. In the morning we got all organized and settle.  Will sat in the driver's seat and turned the key.  Nothing.  Absolutely nothing; no sound at all. We called AAA who sent out a truck to jump the battery for us; that didn't work.  So they called to send out a long-bed tow truck.  We waited all day; the truck arrived at 3:30ish.  The driver had brought a car for us as he had his son and dog along and we couldn't ride in the cab.   Getting the Roadtrek with the back tray attached is not for the average tow-man.  See the boards placed under the wheels so the back tray does not bend or scrap. "Stop.  Stop!"   The Roadtrek was soon up on the truck with some great work by the tow-man.  The Roadtrek sure looks different up there on the tow truck! One hundred and 10 miles to Dorseyville where our garage, Kepple's, is located. We passed in to Pennsyl...

Dinner Party

Image
Lola and Billie were our gracious hosts for dinner on March 19th.   News anyone? Nevaeh liked the shiny slippy floors. There was time for chatting. Brenda is sharing Willard Gayharts book   that has a picture of RedHead Express on page 42. Almost time to eat:  Billie made a great beef roast; Harold make a yummy pork roast and Brenda made turkey and stuffing. And look at the other complements everyone added. Prayers and.... "Dinner everyone". Ryan was ready to eat too! Second's anyone? Billie played some harmonica for us! And Meghan taught "Cups" Will was actually getting the hang of it. A game of "cups"; they had to keep the beat too! What a wonderful evening with friends; thank you Lola and Brenda for hosting and everyone for the scrumptious foods!

200mph RedHead Express

The year was 2008 and we were driving through Missouri.  We passed a sign advertising Legends of Liverpool and Will really wanted to go see them.  As we drove in to town there was a discount ticket office.  We walked out of that office with tickets to several shows, a timeshare meeting and free tickets to see a new act in town: RedHead Express.   In January of 2009 RedHead Express was doing a 9-minute audition for activity directors in the Rio Grande Valley and we really wanted to go.  It was a closed event so we had emailed Apryll about wanting to see them.  Her suggestion was to come to the parking lot and just carry in their instruments.  We made 'Roadie' shirts, set up an area for them to hang out with snacks and games  and when they arrived in their 15-passenger van. we were surprised to see them slowly get out, one by one by one and then their dog, Cocoa got out too!  And then out came all the instruments!  We were n...
