"Today is a Good Day to Drive!" .....Van-Go

The sun came up and brightened our world here at Ko Olina Beach Resort. Will made us breakfast; and you can see I still taking my meds, but there is less pain and more walking about. We went to the welcome center and got a coupon for a free book and shell lies which we give to each other; So here Will, thanks for taking such good care of me. And here Kathy Hawaiian style; a kiss on both cheeks! Time to enjoy the lagoon.  Did you know that the sands here actually came from Australia?!  Well, they did! All the sand was brought in on ships and dumped here! Will is going to try snorkeling today! First he tested the water: warm, but not bath water. He made it waist deep and then kept going out towards the rocks. And back again! Kathy took a little walkabout. And she made it back too! Now time for Will to head out and snorkel.   That his him; the guy out there flapping his feet! He made it out by the rocks. And checked out how they keep that string around the rocks; it is ancho...

Well, this is our room at the Marriott's Ko'Olina Beach Resort on the beautiful island of Oahu. The third largest island in the Hawaiian chain, O'ahu has 112 miles of coastline, but it is only 30 miles at its widest point and 60 miles long. We look down on palm trees from the eleventh floor. Our exchange was for a studio so we have a pull-out-bed couch in the sitting area.  Across is the kitchenette with a microwave and little fridge. And the big king-sized bed.  At the entrance is the bathroom and a large closet. This was our first meal; gourmet dining-Will warmed up left overs and added some fresh.  We played some Farkle and went to bed. Our first full day was Monday.  We attended the overview meeting and had a continental breakfast as a perk for attending.  They have a raffle too; last year we won a boat trip.  Nothing this year. We walked down to the lagoon and enjoyed watching the big waves. And decided to sit a spell. The afternoon cloude...

We are enjoying time with Justin at his house here in Hawaii. Sushi dinner.... I'm enjoying relaxing and having Will and Justin wait on me. Morning coffee....Kathy is getting around with a walker; she can put a little more weight on her foot now. Will made breakfast! He has taken over Justin's kitchen! Justin is helping Kathy with her computer; he is a wiz! Will went grocery shopping and is making a roast for dinner. Will is really enjoying his kitchen time. While Kathy and Justin are working on the family tree. Dinner in the dining room. It has been three days since Kathy fell off the curb and sprained her wrist and ankle. She walked down the front porch And she can smell the flowers and turn around  and walk back; she did two trips this morning. Back in the house sipping coffee. and catching up on "work"
