HI Ko Olina Resort

Well, this is our room at the Marriott's Ko'Olina Beach Resort on the beautiful island of Oahu. The third largest island in the Hawaiian chain, O'ahu has 112 miles of coastline, but it is only 30 miles at its widest point and 60 miles long.

We look down on palm trees from the eleventh floor.

Our exchange was for a studio so we have a pull-out-bed couch in the sitting area.  Across is the kitchenette with a microwave and little fridge. And the big king-sized bed.  At the entrance is the bathroom and a large closet.
This was our first meal; gourmet dining-Will warmed up left overs and added some fresh.  We played some Farkle and went to bed.
Our first full day was Monday.  We attended the overview meeting and had a continental breakfast as a perk for attending.  They have a raffle too; last year we won a boat trip.  Nothing this year.

We walked down to the lagoon and enjoyed watching the big waves.

And decided to sit a spell.

The afternoon clouded over and took advantage of that and went shopping.  The Walmart is just ten minutes away.

A snorkel set, a blender and ingredient to make our own tropical drinks, and some food items....
It is 5 O'clock somewhere!

We went to the Fire Ceremony as the sun was setting.  The High Chief Sielu Avea and his Polynesian Warriors perform.

Good night from Hawaii.
