Pictou to Pittsburgh 2017


Wow, so much time has past since I last put my fingers on the keys to write to you all.  Quick version: We didn't sell the boat so winterized it and left it in Nova Scotia.  Our next destination was Pittsburgh.  The drive down was not fast, but was not relaxing either.









We stopped in St John, New Brunswick and watched the reversing falls several times and learned that rock from three different continents landed together right there.









Along the Fundy Bay we stopped to enjoy the beaches.

Lepruea Falls was a quick stop to stretch our legs.


In Connecticut we put up a RedHead Express sticker at the Willington Rest Area along the Willimatic River.




 Kathy loved spending a few days with Jessica, Layla and attending second grade at Melrose Elementary School. A few days with Sueann before she went in for her final chemo treatment were good times enjoying a dinner party with friends, weeding gardens and having sister time.  Then the sinus infections started; both Kathy and Will have it. We headed over to Carmine's where Kathy is playing house, cleaning, dusting and making a few meals as we both try to get ride of this stuffy nose stuff.

Sitting in the Coranodo National Forest

November 17, 2006 Kathy didn’t feel well today; Will made her some hot coffee. We spent the morning relaxed inside with the heater on and sipping hot coffee. Kathy read her adventure fantasy book and Will worked his cross numbers puzzles. The sun came over the mountain and warmed the air and brightened the day. We went for a walk the forest road and found that there was water in the creek further up. A Chiricahau Red Squirrel ran up a tree; he has a great bushy tail. Back at camp we had breakfast and settled in playing cards, reading, puzzling and resting. Will worked on printing Christmas cards. Kathy cleaned a pomegranate thinking it would help her feel better. We sat and watched the birds, listened to the bees and flies, and played some cards. Kathy took a nap. It was a good day for hanging out in the woods. Will made Kathy some vegetable soup that was yummy. She was starting to feel better. We watched Lord of the Rings Twin Towers.
