Luckenbach, TX

This David Harris; he sings and chats with visitors. He let Will use his guitar.  Will sang Down the Luckenbach Road, a song he wrote about our times coming here when we volunteered at LBJ State Park just up the road in Stonewall. This is the inside of the bar in Luckenbach, TX.Cute cat that lives here too.And of course the roosters. There use to be working cotton gin here, but a flood destroyed it; and this is all that is left.Across the creek is Armadillo Campground; there are cabins to rent there. This is a camping area open for special events. In the warm weather you might want to jump in the creek to cool off. This is the dam built after the floods that destroyed the gin. This are fills up during special events. Can you find the van? This picture hangs in the new restrooms. This shot was taken from the vantage point of the new restrooms; a bit further of a walk from the bar so you have to plan ahead! On our way out Lukenbach Road we saw a herd of goats and one spotted us and started running.See now he is at the fence.Pretty soon the entire herd was standing there looking at us!
