Yesterday was a good day, Jayne got up, sat in her chair after a trip to the bathroom and even had a little walk in the hall. She ate a few bites at each meal. We looked at old pictures, talked about everything and nothing. She had visitors and was able to follow conversations, but didn't talk much. The next day, the 11th, Jayne had a challenging day. We are in Pittsburgh. Jayne has good days and bad, but has been in her room since we arrived and got her home from the hospital. Hospice sends someone out everyday during the week and we are all doing what we can to keep her comfortable. The Cdef infection is cleared up and it is the breast cancer that has her down now; it is settled into her liver and abdomin. The morphine seems to take the edge off the pain. It is a challenge to find the right dosage to keep the pain in check and her able to communicate and enjoy her days. Will is keeping up with the yard work, reading mysteries, and working puzzles. Kathy is cleaning, sorting, and reading fantasy adventures.
