Bobby Hopper tunnel on I540 Arkansas

April 14, 2009
The day started with the whoosh of trucks passing by so we jumped up before the sun even broke the horizon and joined the big trucks on I35. In Waxahachie we stopped in the Discount Tire where purchased our wheels and tires and had them checked and aired up. Then, back on I35 and around Dallas to 75 north. Loy Lake Park in Denison, TX, made a good stopping point for breakfast and a little guitar pickin. At noon we crossed the Red River into Oklahoma. We got on to US69N and just about in Pittsburg county we were stopped by the OK state police. He asked Will to come and sit in his car! He then explained to Will about driving between the lines. He came back to the Roadtrek with a warning about staying between the lines. Will said that the inside of the car was neat with all the guns and computers. The statie followed us for a while making sure Will didn’t drive on the shoulder. The lesson in OK, don’t put two wheels on the white line and for sure don’t go on the shoulder of the road when you are driving.

I40 to Springfield was a rough bouncy road. We crossed the Arkansas River, its banks high with muddy waters. Dogwoods are blooming! Once again headed east on US412. We made it to Circle B Theater in Branson, Mo by 7, enough time to change for the 8pm show of Red Head Express!
