Sushi with Jen and Troy
October 30, 2007
McFalls Ferry road off route 74, amid the farms and rolling land, had a little park where we made some lunch. Then hurried off to Haverstown. Our hurry ended with rush hour traffic just a few miles from our destination. The sun had set by the time we got to Jen&Troy's (see pics below) Jen was already home; she had run four miles as she does most evenings keeping fit. We hugged and Will went through the stopping for the night procedure while Kathy went in the house with Jen, both of them talking a mile a minute catching up and renewing their Aunt/Niece thing. Troy had just finished mudding the dining room; that is where he put a layer of plaster over the entire room filling holes, cracks and dents in preparation for painting. They already have the royal red drapes with velvet roses; the walls will be a golden caramel. They are accenting the tall ceilings in the room with a 6-inch crown molding. Look for pictures in Better Homes!
Troy arrived home and we put together our list for sushi. Jen called the order in and the guys went to pick it up with a stop at a local bar for some man talk and beers. Kathy got a sneak peek at the wedding dress. All she is saying is…..wow! Have to wait til next August for pics of the bride.
Jen set up our meal in the livingroom and we enjoyed sushi and stories. Here is a special one: Someone that Jen knows had been trying to have a baby, but couldn’t. They tried to adopt, even had the room ready and were suppose to bring home a baby, but it was called off. Then, out of the blue one day a girl who had told her mother, a nurse at a local hospital about this Someone, called and said that the mother knew a young girl that was giving her premi twins up for adoption. The Someone couple called and met with the young girl and the young boy and had many talks and signed many papers. Everything has worked out; the Someone couple are now guardians of the twins with full adoption to come the end of November. What a nice story for both the young girl and boy who can now live the life of young people and the Someone couple who so desperately wanted children now have two.
