Sunday is the night we spend at Harley's on the back side of Bayview. The beer garden and country store is open every day with free pool on Tuesdays. But on Sundays John and the Bayview Bushriders play some great music and Sylvia puts out a really yummy BBQ.

We were lucky to hear Fiddler Jason join the group adding a lot of depth to the music. John was in rare form dancing with all the ladies. Kathy got a turn too. Sylvia made an announcement about someone taking the anniversary bucket and hoping it would be returned. No one we talked with can imagine how someone could keep a bucket that says right on it: "gift". Everyone is angry that the anniversary bucket was taken. We stayed til the music stopped then weaved our way across the street and crawled into bed.

In the morning we were awaken by sunshine in our windows! We made some coffee and headed over to Laguna Atascosa. We love watching the greenjays and listening to the grackles. We saw THE all blue greenjay. Kathy had the camera out, but just couldn't get a shot off. He is the same size and shape of the other green jays, but he has no green!

We also saw the long billed trush. Spring is in the air here with the blooming yucca and flowering bushes and trees.

We drove back into Harlingen and met up with Mary and Connie for some trivia at Buffalo Wild Wings. Van Go and Fedex got on the board! Connie had been playing poker at the trailer park and was the winner! Congrats, Connie! After a few rounds they were off to play some Bingo at their park. Mary had given us a free desert ticket so we got a deep dish apple pie slice with ice cream...wow was that good! Thanks Mary. We also got a new movie DVD to take to Mexico with us...The Departed. Kathy is planning on closing her eyes through most of it!
Tomorrow we are driving into Mexico. We will spend two nights in Gomez Fariaz at Casa de Piedra near the El Cielo Nature Reserve.
