"Today is a Good Day to Drive!" .....Van-Go

Disney has some great free transportation! We drive our Roadtrek to Downtown Disney and park for free. Then we take a free bus to a resort. From the resorts you get a free bus to any theme park.  From Magic Kingdom you can ride the free monorail. You get to see Magic Kingdom.... The new addition to the Contemporary Resort The inside of the Contemporary; you can get out and walk around if you would like too. Then catch the next monorail. And go and see Epcot Center. You get some great views from the monorail. Then you can get off and go to a resort... This is the Grand Floridian; it is elegant there.  A band was playing from the balcony across the lobby. Neat fake windows. There are shops and a pool; way too cold for the pool today. We stopped and listened to the band play. There are several restaurants. This is where they serve high tea. The chairs are like Queen chairs! And the inlaid marble floor has a smiling tea pot. We walked around outside to another restaurant.... There...

We drove to Downtown Disney; parked behind the Hess gas station, walked to the bus stop and boarded the free Disney bus to Animal Kingdom Resort. You can visit any of the resorts for free and walk around.  You just can go in the rooms or use the pool or facilities. The decor is worth the look. Even the shops are decorated with the resort theme. This is the mail lobby. Loved the shields around the lights. Each dining area is decorated as well. Outside we admired the metal vine work. There are four viewing areas around the Lodge where you can see different animals.  There are overlooks special for checking out the wildlife in each savannah. Exhibits tell you about the animals and flora. Very interesting shade of red.  There was an elephant ear tree that had lost all its leaves and the seed pods were just starting to fall; they looked like elephant ears. These two sweet pigs came over for a drink. We found a nice bench to sit a spell. Back inside there are lots of places to ...
