December 7, 2008 The year was 2004 when we met Cousin Larry at Harley's. He played the tambourine from the makeshift bar set up on the open back deck. The night would come, stars would shine and music played. Larry pulled the night together with his rhythems and with his whoopla calls. Larry now works at a lodge in South Dakota and has his winter off; he may be the youngest winter Texan at Harley's!

December 7, 2008 We love the zoo!

December 6, 2008 Mary and Bob joined us at Gladys Porter Zoo for Light Up Night. The animals were all asleep nested in their compounds so it was the lights one looks at. There was a live group playing, Marines reading The Grench Who Stole Christmas, gingerbread decorating and of course the lights.

December 5, 2008 Being retired has its benefits. Days sort of merger together. One little thing like watching cows graze can take up an entire day. So just what have we been up to the last few days: Spending time at Harley's; he is trying to put together a bluegrass band to play Saturday nights; hope they turn down the bass as they merge into a group. Watching the longhorn cattle just west of Bayview Staying inside working on the new calendar and eating pizza
