Overnight in Progresso

Image
Yep, that is our little car parked in Progresso, Mexico We really like going to Red Snapper Restaurant where the food is good and we can listen to Puncho sing. The resturant is very well kept and the waiters are very friendly.  Kathy, Puncho and the water staff for the afternoon. One of the waiters, Daniel, invited us to his church service where he plays accordion and his daughters also play; the church is right in the hotel. The rooms are each different designs-all Mexican and nice and clean. Here is Daniel and his daughters along with a young drummer. This is the upstairs hall. The beautiful murals around the pool make it all look so festive. The murals depict different areas of Mexico. Snake bannister. A quiet sitting area. The pool area. It is all walled in a very safe. Okay so see all the dust on the cars; wonder how long it has been there? In the morning we went to Old Town for breakfast. And we had a square meal! We like sitting outside and enjoying the busy start to the day. Af

It was a big project to take up all the planks on the left deck and put in new boards under where the metal rotted out.  Then put all the planks back on.   Kathy helped by pounding all the old screw glad.  They were so rusted that most of them broke off. Clyde is the supervisor.  Calida and Turkey looking over the job.  Turkey has about four board there on the far left finish.  Later Jim set up the boards and Kevin screwed them in and put down the decking and Calida screwed them all in.

Clyde has a favorite spot right here by the Texas flag we painted on the side of the building two years ago. Our planting project is taking well.  Will waters it every day. Saturday was a fun evening even if Kathy couldn't talk.  She lost her voice on Thursday and is sipping shots of lemon, honey and cayenne pepper between her beers. Wildcat Thicket is filling in for the Bushriders so are doing a back to back show nights. Kathy, Sylvia and Kay stopping for a photo. Jim is feeling good tonight too. Sylvia and Calida taking care of the BBQ; served up around 6. What a surprise, Jack came out for the evening.  Liz is up in Colorado resting after some eye surgery. The Texas map was a save from the old Challenger Center of the San Benito. Kathy donated it to Harley's Willie found a shad spot to nap. And Clyde is back in his spot; now it is Sunday. We had a visit from Scotty and Melissa, down from the hill county.  Good to see them here.  Scotty was one of Harley's originals. Kath
