"Today is a Good Day to Drive!" .....Van-Go

Clarion University to me was a small campus with great professors, it was sitting on the lawn studying.  Clarion was a great wrestling team and a really awesome Autumn Leaf Festival.  It was a time of classes and friendships.  Good memories as I looked around almost 40 years later.

Packing for their two week tour that starts in Spring Hill, TN Everyone piles into the SUV, And off we go; we are following in our rental car. We arrive early at Ring Farm and begin by rearranging the pavilion. Then all the equipment gets carried in.... LaRae gets wireless headsets ready. Anthony showing a little comic relief. Danny, the drummer arrives. Alisa doing her inventory and checking the table. Kendra and Mom working on a set list while the boys get all the wiring done. Shiela Butt arrives and is greeted by the RedHead Express. Sound check time. Practice.... Ouch.  Little David, Danny's son, cut his head on the slide you see behind everyone.  Brett fixed him up. LaRae has been waiting all day.  She knew it was at the UPS store, but was waiting for Dad to return from his errands with the package.  It was dark when it arrived and the excitement filled the air. She carried her treasure all by herself into the house. And she took a deep breath anticipating the joy of strumming her new Gibson banjo. There was so much packing around the case it took three people to remove it from the cardboard box. Alisa checked to make sure the banjo wasn't still in there. Nope, it was in the case! Along with a note from it's previous owner, Gayland Harper. Her sister videoed the first strummings; the sound dance around the room an settled in our ears.  It has a rich clear twang Hubert, her "old banjo" sat wondering what his new fate would be.
