Kathy has all the chairs folded and the floor swept. Will has all the chairs stacked and is washing down the floor. Sun is coming put. Birds are chirping. The Great Kiskadee with it's bright yellow chest and loud slow call. A flock of ground doves. Couldn't tell if the were common, ruddy or Inca. I suspected Inca because of the white edge to their tail. In the resacca were a pair of ducks maybe lesser Scaup. The black necked stills in the water are a sight on their tall pink legs. The bright red of the cardinal is so pretty against the palm tree green. A good day.

We get special smiles We help sell CDs, tee-shirts and jewelry; the boys sell cookies they bake themselves to earn money for new instruments. Counting their money; figuring their percent of the take- a little math lesson Great harmonies. Ammon likes Will's hat!

Lots of fresh oranges here in south Texas. You can buy a ten pound bag for $5 from the street venders. Lots of the RV parks have a box set in the clubhouse filled with fresh picked oranges for the taking. Along the sides of the road oranges just fall to the ground waiting for you to scoop them up. But, you have to be careful as many of these are very sour and filled with seeds. The locals have a good laugh when they see someone stop and fill their trunk with these sour oranges. These trees are planted to bring in the bees. And to keep the true oranges from being picked by drive-by pickers. Pickers come by the hundreds down here and pick orchards clean in just a few days. The oranges are put into large crates and hauled away. I am going to try making marmalade Here is a recipe for orange marmalade I got from a lady at Harley's. She made a batch and wow was it good. 6 oranges, 2 lemons, sugar Peel oranges and cut the peels very thin (try to get off as much white as you can before
