Kite Festival out on South Padre Island
The South Padre Island Kite Festival had a good windy day for the event. There were big kites and little kites too. Our favorite team, IQuad was there! They added members and now fly six quad line kites at once; what a great show! Wow! We were driving to the bayside to get out of some wind and discovered the is the weekend of the SPI Kite Fest. Lots of kites and wind socks. Teams flying quadline kites. Hot chocolate and kites!!
The Red Head Express filled the hall at Valley View Estates in Mission
Set up, relax with a little game of pool, read a poem, greet the guests, then sing and play.... We love this group!
Before the show in LaFeria
Will made some yummy fried chicken, and fried rice. Kathy made up a spinach and tomato salad, Ruth and Harold brought along bread and yummy brownies and peanut bars that were soooo good. Kendra added a very tasty homemade salsa and we had a nice sit-downy meal before the show.
Red Head Express in Harlingen-Park Place
We enjoyed another great evening with the Red Head Express! Friends from Paradise Park came out, a big group from Tropic Winds came and the hall was filled with over 250 people! Back stage with the Walker Family; we love them!
Gladys Porter Zoo Behind the Scenes
Mrs. Emma took us around the back of the zoo and then had some of the Animal Ambassadors come to visit with the Walker children.
